No accounts

You never sign up or sign in. We hold no profile for you, and we have no list of users.

Your work stays in your browser

Projects and settings are stored locally, in your browser's own storage on your device. They are not uploaded. Clearing your browser data removes them, so export a .pxl file for anything you want to keep.

When you make a share link, the animation is packed into the part of the link after the #. Browsers do not send that part to any server, so we never receive the animation. Anyone who has the link can see it.

No cookies, no trackers

This site sets no cookies and loads no third-party scripts, fonts or images. There are no ads.

Cookieless event counts

To know whether anyone uses the editor, the app sends a small count when something happens, such as opening the editor, opening a shared link or making a copy of one. These counts carry no identifier, no account, no cookie and no content, only the name of the event. We count events, not people.

Our host, Cloudflare, processes requests as any web host does, which includes technical details such as the address a request came from, to deliver the site and keep it secure.

Payments

No payments are taken currently, so we hold no card details, receipts or purchase records.

Reports and sample files

If you report a link, the email contains a hash of the animation's pixels, not the animation itself, and whatever you write. If you send sample .piskel files to help us test the importer, you agree that they may be added to the project as test fixtures, used only to check that imports stay exact. Send only files you made yourself.
